Aw Hui Bing

Teacher

Hui Bing's passion and love for holistic living is born from her life experiences and influences from her family of Chinese Physicians and Herbalists. As a child, she had scoliosis, was asthmatic, and was constantly plagued by the ill side effects of western medicines. Hence, Hui Bing explored and begin her journey with alternate healing remedies at an early age.

As a young professional woman, Hui Bing's health deteriorated from the demands of raising a family and sustaining a high pressure position in the finance sector. Her health took a turn for the worse after struggling for 7 years to cope with life's demands, and she was constantly ill, fatigue, underweight and suffered from severe Lower Back Pain and low self esteem.

In 2004, at the encouragement of her partner, she took her first yoga lesson from a DVD in her living room. Hui Bing's life has changed ever since.

Hui Bing’s practice of Yoga quickly calmed her desperation and helped induce the much needed liberation of her physical and emotional plains. It is because of these life saving changes to her soul that Hui Bing has, and always will be, dedicated to the study and application of Yoga’s beautiful holistic way of healing. Her practice through classes, workshops, and retreats combined with her sheer enthusiasm and commitment of Yoga has nursed Hui back to a wonderful state of being. She is grateful to have found this path and is now dedicated to helping others through sharing her journey, experience and knowledge with her students.

In 2009, Hui Bing completed a Yoga Teacher's Training with Shiva Rea, and thoroughly enjoyed participating in a 10 week intensive training with the renowned Shiatsu Massage School of California based in Santa Monica, U.S.A. These invaluable teachings provided Hui Bing with a solid foundation in human anatomy, pain and orthopedic evaluation, diets and cleansing programs, traditional Chinese medicine, injury and rehabilitation. The purpose of this entire framework of knowledge is centered on the connection between yoga and bodywork. Hui thoroughly enjoys sharing this further awareness with her students.

Now, a mother of two beautiful children and wife to a supportive partner, she radiates with confidence as she spoke of their love in her journey. She felt blessed to have received the wisdom of many teachers including Andrey Lappa, David Life, Sharon Gannon, Seane Corn, and is especially thankful to Shiva Rea, Glenn Ceresoli and Don Peers for the kindness and wisdom.

Hui Bing wishes to create awareness amongst her students of the relationship between emotions, lifestyle, diets and the environment with their bodies; and most importantly a way to combine yoga and bodywork to guide her students to their full potential.
